FAQ:

Can I really mail the fabric postcard? Yes! I have mailed cards for over 15 years and have never had one lost in the mail. Apply a standard stamp to the upper right hand side of the back of the card. No additional postage is needed. For cards with a white or very light background, you may want to have the stamp hand postmarked at the post office desk. Alternatively, mail your card in an envelope to keep it clean in transit. I suggest mailing out of country postcards in an envelop.

Is the back of the postcard paper or fabric? Fabric.

What type of pen should I use to address the fabric postcard? I use an extra fine permanent marker, but any ballpoint or gel pen will work. Just get the ink flowing before you start writing on the fabric. Be prepared with your words… pausing with the marker may create bleed spots. Ball point pens can also be used.

Would you consider making a custom card? Yes. See “Consignment” below.

Consignment: Please feel free to contact me if you see something you love and would like multiple postcards of the same design - although they won’t be identical, they will be very similar. Talk to me about a special request - I love a design challenge and I am sure we can create a card for you. A $5 design fee applies to the first fabric postcard of any new design/pattern.

Workshops: I offer in-person workshops for smaller groups (no more than 15) on how I create my fabric postcards. If interested, please email me at windingriverstudio@yahoo.com for details and pricing.
